Speaking for millions of sane Americans, WE KNOW!!! Republicans have a poor track record and a platform that makes a lot of us nervous, and yet our fellow countrymen vote for them. I’m as baffled as you are.

Part of the answer might lie in the fact that Republicans have had a long alliance with the Religious Right, which brings in the fundamentalist Christian vote.

Gill Bates – Amen to that. I’m so sick of hearing about the “liberal” media when Fox’s fair and balanced (not!) reporting rules.

Kevin – I think Republicans only look attractive to voters when they are out of office. In office they’re just a nightmare.

Americans are stupid. They want to be told what to believe and Republicans have mastered spoon feeding us information.

Democrats seem to give rational arguments and logical explanations – they take the intellectual route, but that isn’t going to work. They need to create emotional arguments.

This is why the GOP targets Democrats that are brash and use the same rhetoric as the Republicans (like Alan Grayson)…

The ‘pubs have mastered the art of the BIG LIE.

They call the media liberal and leftist, while the top five consolidated media companies are owned by conservatives and put out a decidedly right-wing message.

The media quotes polls saying that Republicans are better at economic issues and are leading in the polls, and the sheeple think (if that is possible) “hey, why not vote for the winner?”.

I agree – we are all doomed.
