  1. If they’d refused them in the first place, then maybe you might think it was altruism. Giving them back after the villagers are storming Greenwich, torches in hand, looks more like self-preservation.

  2. If it’s a publicly traded company (and now publicly owned!), then we have a right to know what they’re paid. Period. Don’t want to reveal that info, go work for a privately held company.
