  1. I think most Americans have finally learned to start judging Obama with their eyes and not their ears. I think he knows that he’s already gone as far as oratory alone can take him. I wonder if he’ll finally start walking the walk.

  2. Mark… Ouch indeed! Obama, so far, has been just one big “ouch”! ;-)

Abi… Agreed. Clinton was a fine orator, but could back up words with deeds, and he didn’t even have both houses of Congress on his side. Obama…it seems, is no Clinton.

  3. America is ripe for a takeover by an organized group of right-wing extremists who worship corporations and greed and can spout biblical verses.

Never have I seen America so vulnerable, so confused, so morally bankrupt.

DavidG… Unlikely I think. Corporations hate upheaval. My guess is that if any sufficiently large group of Americans were to arm themselves and try to rebel, the new corporate Congress would just formally revoke the Posse Comitatus Act and then deploy armed forces internally to put down any resistance…right or left.

Lew… :-) No vote for another 3 years, but you’re right.

  5. Kvatch, re: Obama not even Clinton.
Someone recently wrote Obama’s not even Obama!

Little bit of populist talk, I guess someone said appearing to stand up to his campaign contributors would make him look good to the base and independents. Who know maybe it will.

  6. abi and DavidG said it for me.

Obama wants to be a bridge over troubled waters when what the country needs — and what most Democrats, and probably most independents, want — is a bulldozer draining the swamp.

  7. Holte, S.W. … I love the bleating conservatives who say that support is falling away from Obama because he’s moving to far to the left. BWAHAHAHAHAHA! What a bunch on nonsense.

Oso… Welcome to Ragebot! Haven’t seen it so far, but you’re right Obama’s at a point where he’s about to become a lame duck…with three years to go.
