A little holiday cheer

A Christmas carol from the Frogs:

O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
This year I can’t be bothered;
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
I really can’t be bothered;
Oh sure I’d like to have a tree,
But not without delivery.
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
I really can’t be bothered!

O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
You’re fresh but too expensive!
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
My search has been extensive!
From lot to lot I seek a tree,
that won’t increase my misery.
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
You’re just too damned much bother!

O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Where shall I place these presents?
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
Where can I place these presents?
On a table or a chair,
It’s not the same though let’s be fair.
O Christmas Tree! O Christmas Tree!
You’re just too damned much bother!”

  1. We are even worse. Haven’t put up a tree for many years, and don’t buy each other gifts. Any gifts that arrive in the mail are opened immediately, regardless of the wishes of the sender that they be saved for a certain ritualistic gift-opening ceremony.

  2. Blueberry – I actually have a phobia about trees. The Frog will only have real ones and I feel terrible guilt that they’ve been cut down just so our living room can smell like knotty pine. Guess it’s the latent druid in me. I’m totally like you though, once a gift has arrived in the mail it’s fair game! You go!
