My father used to say that we close to being a police state and I would disagree. I thought Americans were too diverse, educated and heavily armed enough that it couldn’t happen here. Dad’s been gone for twenty years and everything he used to talk about has come true.
He used to talk about how the police would eventually turn against the populace, seeing us more as a threat than tax paying citizens. That the police were being slowly convinced that the average joe was more likely to be out to get them than help them. That the police would start carrying, and using, more potent weapons to coerce the civilian population into “appropriate behavior”.
And that the average American wouldn’t notice that everything had changed until it was too late. Like a frog in hot water, sorry about the example. :)
Kent State is coming people. Mark my words. Deb, sounds like your father was a wise man to see this dystopic future we’ve stumbled into.
A pregnant protester there who was pepper-sprayed and kicked in the stomach lost her baby.
It appears that one of those campus cops killed her baby. If this is true than they should find out which one it was and charge them with second degree murder since the kick would have been intentional and not an accident which would have made the death involuntary manslaughter.
She should then sue the campus police as well as the University and its officials.

Have a great day.
Third try, have trouble with your character box and correctly reading the letters.
I’m not sure why but this blog is loading incredibly slow for me. Is anyone else having this issue or is it a issue on my end? I’ll check back later on and see if the problem still exists.
